We are looking for a Buyer to join our team, who will be responsible for the procurement of Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS), special order, and build‑to‑print material to meet our project schedules. Responsibilities Develop and initiate Request for Quotations (RFQ’s). Evaluate quotations, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules. Select qualified suppliers by using best sourcing practices. Execute Purchase Orders with suppliers and monitor the status of the deliverables to mitigate quality issues and ensure on‑time delivery. Proactively coordinate purchasing activities with production control, quality, project managers, and engineering to meet project requirements and schedules and identify risk(s). Conduct supplier recertifications, assessments, and relationship management activities to ensure strong and consistent supplier performance. Qualifications Preferred Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline 7+ years of relevant experience; or A combination of education and experience equivalent to the above Preferred Knowledge / Ability: Demonstrated knowledge of buying, replenishment strategies, contracts, and negotiation skills. Ability to write, edit, and amend contracts preferred. Ability to create a collaborative environment. Experience working in a project‑based business or new product development. Ability to read and interpret requirements from technical information and drawings. Mechanical design knowledge preferred. Proficiency with MS Office applications and ERP and MRP software. Commodity related experience with build to print fabricated steel and machined parts, electrical, electronic, and specialty measurement equipment, Valves, pumps, hoses, and associated items, Hardware, and other items as designed.
