Role Summary The ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) works as a contractor and conducts patient fitting activities to support the sales organization and the Regional Clinical Advisors (RCA). The APS serves as the local patient care representative, providing effective and efficient patient fittings and training. Responsibilities Fit and train local patients with the ASSURE® wearable defibrillator, following training assignments from corporate headquarters. Provide instruction and instill confidence in patients, demonstrating patient‑care skills. Contact prescribers, caregivers, and patients to schedule fitting services. Accept assignments that may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Travel to hospitals, patient homes, and other healthcare facilities to provide fitting services. Measure patients to determine the correct garment size. Review and transmit essential paperwork to receive the ASSURE garment and services. Manage inventory of ASSURE system kits, garments, and electronic equipment used in fittings. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Pledge of Confidentiality. Requirements One year of paid patient‑care experience (excluding family caregiving). Clinical or engineering background: nurses, cardiac device sales, clinical engineers, catheterization lab technicians, physician assistants, ECMO technicians, ECG technicians, or similar. Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable). Successful completion of a background check; Florida and Ohio candidates must complete a level 2 screening paid by Kestra. Willingness to pay an annual DME fee deducted from the completed work order. Ability to pay for vendor credentialing upfront during 90‑day probation. Experience in patient and/or clinician education. Valid driver’s license in state of residence with good driving record. Consistent field work in the West Palm Beach area. Must achieve credentialing for hospital system entry, including vaccination, background check, drug screening, hospital policies, and completion of HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Electrical/Fire Safety courses. Preferred Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams. Direct cardiac patient care experience—RN, RT, CVIS, Paramedic, CRM. Work Environment Office or hospital‑type noise levels. Possible exposure to infectious disease. Extended hours when required. Drug‑free environment. Physical Demands Travel by car. Repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions (keyboard/mouse). Standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Occasional bending and stooping. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted, including loads in and out of vehicles.
