Role Overview: This role involves providing specialized nursing care to women across the lifespan, including prenatal, postpartum, gynecological, and reproductive health needs. The OB/GYN RN assesses patients, administers medications and treatments, provides education and support, and collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to promote safe, high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required. Note: Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic and the RN will do simple work up (blood pressure, HPI) & place patients in their room. Prefer they can draw blood but it is NOT REQUIRED.
• Flu Vaccine Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only.
• Certifications: BLS.
• Must bring own stethoscope.
• Epic Charting System Experience Required.
• Traveler Experience: Clinic WILL ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers.
• Required Certifications:  ARDMS (OB) with (FE) certification Required.
• Work Setting/Clinic Specialties Skills REQUIRED: High Risk OB & OB/GYN.
• Assessment Skills REQUIRED: Height/Weight, Interpretation of laboratory results, Obtain Vital Signs, Patient Health Questionnaire/History/Allergies & Pulse Oximetry
• Cardiovascular Skills REQUIRED: Cardiac Arrest/CPR.
• Office Duties Skills REQUIRED: Pharmacy calls/patient refill requests & Telephone Triage.
• Professional Knowledge and Skills REQUIRED: Biohazard waste disposal, follow-up phone calls, Medication refills & Patient Teaching.
• Additional Skills REQUIRED: Labor & Delivery.

Preferred Skills/Certifications/Experience:

• Assessment Skills: Medication reconciliation.
• Women's Health: Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring).
• Medications/Immunizations Administration Skills: Insulin.
• Specimen Collection Skills: Labeling of specimens, Urine - UA/Clean Catch & Vaginal.
• Laboratory Tests Skills: Urine Dipstick/Urinalysis.
• Office Duties Skills: Authorization Forms, Chart Preparation & Ordering supplies.
• Professional Knowledge and Skills: Workman's Comp/Injury reporting.

Schedule:

• Shift: 8-HOUR DAYS; 07:30 - 16:00
