Join our team as a Registered Nurse and make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate, high quality patient care in a safe, collaborative, and patient centered environment. The RN is responsible for delivering efficient, evidence based nursing care while promoting positive patient outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.

The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individualized care for patients across the lifespan. Using strong clinical judgment, the RN recognizes changes in patient condition, identifies potential complications, and responds appropriately to meet each patient's unique needs. This role requires a thorough understanding of disease processes, nursing best practices, and the principles of growth and development to ensure age-appropriate care.

The RN collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to coordinate care, educate patients, and support informed decision making. The ideal candidate is clinically competent, compassionate, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality.

This position also utilizes electronic health records and other healthcare technologies to support clinical decision making, provide evidence-based care at the point of service, and improve patient outcomes while following all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire (12 months for new graduate RNs).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire (12 months for new graduate RNs). Family Birthing Center (FBC): Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required in place of PALS.
  • Successful completion of an EKG course within 4 months of hire (Medical/Surgical nurses only).

Department-Specific Requirements

Emergency Department (ED)

  • One year of Emergency Department or inpatient nursing experience preferred.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire.

Family Birthing Center (FBC)

  • Successful completion of a Basic Fetal Monitoring course within 4 months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Language Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Skills

  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to learn electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
