Description

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for an Ambulatory Surgery Center position requiring ophthalmology experience and a minimum of 5 years related experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training in a clinical setting and surgical scrub experience in an ambulatory surgery facility
• Graduate of an approved course for OR Surgical Technologists
• High school diploma or GED required
• BLS certification required
• CST certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assists surgical team members during operative procedures, including preparing sterile set-ups and passing instruments
• Prepares surgical suite, supplies, and equipment to meet safety and infection control standards
• Performs surgical scrub duties for pre-operative patient care
• Assists RN with patient preparation, transfers, and counting procedures
• Participates in time-out processes and identifies unsafe conditions
• Assists with room turnover, cleanup, patient transport, and positioning
• Maintains and orders inventory based on scheduled procedures and stock levels
• Provides new employee orientation and training support as needed
