Job Description

This role involves assisting in the assembly of metal stoves in a fast-paced production environment. You will work on a production line with other team members, follow blueprints to assemble various types of stoves, and contribute to efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly of metal stoves on a production line.
• Read and interpret blueprints to assemble various types of stoves accurately.
• Work collaboratively with co-workers on the line and maintain clear, effective communication.
• Perform general production and manufacturing tasks as assigned.
• Follow established procedures and quality standards to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
• Use provided tools and equipment safely and correctly during assembly.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including wearing required protective equipment.
• Adapt to different tasks within the production process as needed.
• Participate in training and apply new skills to improve performance and productivity.
• Support overtime and additional shifts when requested, based on production demands.

Essential Skills

• Prior experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints for assembly work.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively on a production line with other co-workers.
• Experience with assembly, manufacturing, or production tasks.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
• Openness to learning new tasks and receiving on-the-job training.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating machines in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Ability to adapt to varying workloads and support additional hours when needed.
• Comfort working in environments that are not climate controlled.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility focused on assembling metal stoves. The environment is not climate controlled, so it can become hot during the summer months. Steel toe boots are required, and protective eyewear will be provided if you do not have your own. You are allowed to wear shorts in the summer if you choose, in accordance with safety guidelines. The standard schedule includes a first shift, Monday through Thursday, working four 10-hour days starting at 6:00 a.m., with the possibility of volunteering for additional overtime on Fridays. There is also a weekend shift option from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with hours capped for that schedule. At times, there may be a need to work up to five 10-hour days when production volume increases. The employer is willing to train candidates who are open to learning and adapting to the production environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Halifax, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Halifax,PA.
