Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, responsible for the day to day maintenance and physical well-being of the Ontario Convention Center including all functions related to utilities, HVAC, landscaping, and repair. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education And/Or Experience/Skills And Abilities: Experience/Training/Education: Required: Three or more years' experience as a Maintenance Mechanic with a multi-use facility or construction company, or at least one year at supervisory level. Significant exposure in the areas of HVAC, facility and equipment maintenance.

Desirable: Any certification in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, Cal OSHA 10 etc. License/Certificate: Valid California Driver's License Forklift certified

Knowledge of: Life/safety and fire control systems, Building automation systems, i.e., Johnson Metasys Software, Lithonia Lighting Software, etc. Safe working practices

Ability to: Manage many projects simultaneously Maintain knowledge of leading technical advancements and their application to the Ontario Convention Center Relate technical information to non-technical individuals Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, peers and the public Skill to: Operate modern office equipment including computer, fax, phone, and copy machine Operate a motor vehicle Operate equipment, such as forklift, boom lift, electric carts, radio devices, etc.

Physical and Environmental Requirements: This position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting 25lbs. throughout the day as well as working at the computer; irregular hours will be required. May be required to work with hazardous chemicals/substances. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.

This position requires stooping and lifting. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Must be able to pass background.
