Multimodality Tech (CT/X-Ray)

Shift: 3X12s 7P-730A with EOW

Weekend REQ: every other weekend

Is on-call REQ? NO

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Possible to float to like units

Required/Preferred

Years of experience REQ: 2 years

First-timers accepted: yes, but not preferred

Certifications REQ: Must be registered in both Radiography (ARRT) (R) & Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C);
SCRQSA;
BLS;
ACLS- (will accept pending as long as traveler obtains within 2-3 weeks of hire).

Exp highly preferred: Emergency, Trauma, Pediatrics, Orthopedic exams in both modalities, siemens equipment, EPIC, PACS

Radiation Badge REQ: ** AGENCY MUST PROVIDE RAD BADGES**

(Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency;
MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers)

Misc.:

Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles.

Are locals accepted? Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate

RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on manager/units needs

Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Parking Cost: Nights and weekends cost only. Onetime payment of $20 for a parking pass.

Multi-modality technologist provides quality imaging and patient care within X-ray and CT. Technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. Technologist must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner.

Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
