Title HVAC Technician No relocation funds available; must reside in the San Diego vicinity. Job Summary The HVAC Technician will perform preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostics and corrective maintenance on heating hot water boilers, piping, pumps, air separators/expansion tanks, air handlers, fan coils, exhaust fans, cooling towers, air compressors, dampers, coils (HW, CW, DX), motors, control valves, pressure‑reducing valves, relief valves, and all other support systems as needed. They will replace piping systems; cut, bend, and fabricate using steel, copper, PVC and associated fittings specific to the type of pipe being used to connect new equipment installations and replacements. Basic Qualifications High school degree or equivalent. In lieu of diploma or equivalent, trade school certifications can be used for credit towards years of experience. Five years’ experience with preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems required. Must have HVAC certification. Must be either a member in good standing of UA Local Union 230 or willing to become a member. Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements. Must be able to pass a customer pre‑employment background check for military base access. Preferred Qualifications Experience and certifications on Siemens Apogee controls preferred. Preferred to have completed the 30‑hour OSHA Construction safety class or an equivalent 30‑hour formal construction safety and health training covering the subjects of the OSHA 30‑hour course. Basic Compensation $75,900.00 – $113,850.00. The salary range posted is for California locations. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
