Warehouse Handler

Job Location: 260 Banker Road Plattsburgh NY 12901 (On-Site only) Responsibilities Load, unload, and move materials within or near the facility or work site. Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular stock checks, cycle counts, and ensuring proper labeling and organization of materials. Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools. Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Load materials into vehicles and secure them with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Assemble crates to contain products using hand tools and precut lumber. Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers. Load and unload trucks with forklift/pallet jack. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders. Organize and store materials in designated locations to optimize space and accessibility. Pick and prepare materials for production, assembly, or shipping. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions using warehouse management systems (WMS). Lift heavy objects by hand, and maintain cleanliness of work area, machines, and equipment using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds. Required Qualifications & Skills Valid driver's license. Preferred: Experience in forklift operation. Good problem‑solving and communication skills. Commitment to quality work. Able to work in a team‑based environment. Able to work overtime and multiple shifts as needed. Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with varying temperatures. Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and to climb or balance; reach with hands and arms including overhead; stoop, kneel, crouch; stand, walk, operate equipment for extended periods. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.). Demonstrated positive, proactive, solution‑oriented mindset. Ability to foster a culture of safety, health, and environmental awareness. Additional Information Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (must be available to work overtime and on weekends as needed). Salary: $20.55/hour, start: June 2026.
