Fabrication Trainee
Ōnin Staffing is recruiting Fabrication Trainees for a steel manufacturing company in Nashville, NC. This is a hands-on, entry-level opportunity where you'll learn valuable trade skills with the potential for long-term growth. Perfect for candidates with prior machine operating experience, strong measuring skills, and a willingness to learn. Experience with forklifts or heavy machinery is a plus!
$16.50/hour + overtime opportunities
1st shift - Monday-Friday 6am-5:30pm
2nd shift - Monday-Friday 5pm-3:30am
Temp-to-hire with growth potential
On-the-job training in grinding, welding, sanding, CNC, press brakes, and painting
Work alongside skilled welders, operators, and industrial painters
Use hand tools and measuring tapes for daily tasks
Operate fabrication equipment including drills, grinders, press brakes, blasters, and paint spray tools
Learn the basics of welding, fitting, and CNC machine operation
Support skilled tradespeople in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Willingness and desire to learn new skills
Ability to read a tape measure and solve basic math problems
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment (hot summers, cold winters)
Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Commitment to safety and ability to follow all protocols
Must wear 8" steel-toe boots with metatarsal covers (all other PPE provided)
Forklift or heavy equipment experience a plus
