Role description The Intelligent Mobility Services (IMS) Team of Arcadis is currently searching for a Transportation Engineer with 1+ years’ experience, to join the Atlanta, GA team. As a Transportation Engineer, you will assist in the development and design of infrastructure projects for highway/interstate resurfacing and striping as an embedded employee with the client. This person may also be required to perform different roles on multi‑disciplined projects including technical design of minor projects, production lead, task leader and assisting Project Manager and lead engineers. The role will sit within the larger Global Mobility Business Area and partner with clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Role accountabilities Project development experience should include working individually or as part of a team to develop project scopes and budgets, interface with and maintain client needs for the Project Manager, develop project resurfacing and striping plans, maintain project schedules and ensure project compliance with all Arcadis and Client practices, including quality and safety standards. Interpersonal and client‑facing requirements will require excellent, clear and concise oral and written communication skills, the ability to contribute information to meetings, assist with effective client presentations and prepare written reports and meeting minutes. The successful candidate will have the ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously and possess strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills as well as a self‑motivated, team‑oriented and flexible approach, with initiative to tackle new projects, challenges and concepts. Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications: 1+ years’ experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field Infrastructure design and construction engineering experience, including cost estimates, technical reports, construction/maintenance plans and project displays. Proficiency with CAD, particularly AutoCAD, Microstation, InRoads and CAiCE Familiarity with GDOT design standards and policies Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations Equal Employment Opportunity We want you to be able to bring your best self to work every day.
