Lab Assistant

Job Title: Laboratory AssistantJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to support our testing team. The role involves assisting with sample preparation and ensuring all lab processes are executed efficiently to meet sample turnaround goals. Responsibilities Manage a high volume of incoming samples per day for preparation. Assist with weighing samples and plating. Enter sample data into management systems accurately and promptly. Conduct lab testing on all incoming samples. Verify results and submit them for transmission. Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficient in sample preparation and lab testing. Strong skills in biology prep, plating, and specimen processing. Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences. 0-1 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with lab techniques such as pipetting, assays, dilutions, media preparation, aseptic techniques, and staining. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Work Environment The role is based in a lab setting that requires standing on your feet and handling a high volume of samples. The position requires working overtime as necessary, with shifts from Sunday to Thursday, 1pm to 9:30pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tustin, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
