Regional Anesthesiologist - Associate/Full Professor Location: Philadelphia, PA Open Date: May 30, 2025 Deadline: May 30, 2027 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the PerelmanSchool of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seekscandidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in thenon-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in thespecific area of regional anesthesiology. Applicants must have anM.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. ABA certification inanesthesiology or status as a candidate in the examination systemalong with ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license are required.In addition, completion of fellowship training in regionalanesthesiology and acute pain medicine or chronic pain medicine isrequired. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Teaching responsibilities may include the instruction and/orsupervision of medical students, residents, and fellows rotatingthrough the operating rooms and wards of the Hospital of theUniversity of Pennsylvania (HUP) and the Penn Presbyterian MedicalCenter (PPMC) as well as participation in lectures, small groups, workshops, and/or simulation sessions. Clinical responsibilities may include the provision of clinicalanesthesia and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia blocks(including single-shot peripheral nerve blocks, fascial planeblocks, indwelling continuous peripheral nerve and fascial planecatheters, and neuraxial blocks and catheters) at HUP andPPMC.
