Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students near Renton, WA. This full-time position is a back-fill placement running through June 17, 2027, providing stability and impact over several school years. You will work with an LRC1 caseload at the elementary school level, making a meaningful difference in the lives of students who benefit from your specialized expertise.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Washington State Special Education (SPED) License and Certification required
• Ability to obtain, or possession of, fingerprint clearance through OSPI
• Experience supporting elementary-aged students in a special education environment preferred
• Adaptability and commitment to providing differentiated instruction and behavioral supports
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with colleagues, families, and support teams

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain accurate, confidential records
• Collaborate with general education staff to accommodate students in inclusive settings
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to plan development
• Foster a safe, positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and participation
• Maintain compliance with state and federal educational requirements
