Overview

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

Alton Memorial has Two 64-slice CT scanners, one with fluoroscopy capabilities. This leading technology allows for faster scan times and less radiation dose to the patient while maintaining image quality. The CT Department prides itself on being able to offer quality care Close to Home.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

To perform a variety of radiographic & nursing support duties, including but not limited to patient transportation, patient registration, film processing, library maintenance, supply inventory, and miscellaneous clerical support.

Responsibilities

• Performs dark room and film processing duties.

• Provides patient transportation to and from the departments.

• Prepares room and needed equipment for specified exam.

• Obtains patient history and consents as directed.

• Monitors patients vitals as directed.
