2 nd shift – Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1am (4 – 10 hr. shifts)

• Will train on 1st shift

Starting Pay is based on experience - $22-$29/hr. + $2.50 shift diff

JOB SUMMARY

The Brake Operator is responsible for operating and setting up press brake equipment to produce high-quality metal components according to customer specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to troubleshoot forming issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Brake Operator will work collaboratively with team members to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety standards are consistently met.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Operate various sizes of brake press equipment to form metal components to specification.

· Perform all necessary setup and layout of equipment, tooling, and jobs.

· Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions accurately.

· Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

· Perform forming operations to specified parameters while maintaining quality standards.

· Troubleshoot and correct forming issues as necessary.

· Log all production activity into the ERP system.

· Assist Cell Leader in quoting and evaluating new projects as needed.

· Perform preventive maintenance on brake press equipment and tooling.

· Assist with material handling and movement using forklift equipment as required.

· Maintain clean and organized work areas while following all company safety procedures.

· Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Minimum of 3 years of recent brake press operating experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment.

· Experience operating Cincinnati Incorporated brake press equipment or similar machinery preferred.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

· Strong understanding of measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers.

· Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.

· Experience with roll-forming equipment is a plus.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Must possess excellent communication skills and work effectively in a team environment.

· Technical training or certification in machining or metal fabrication is a plus.

· Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and a positive “Can-Do” attitude.
