The Area Nome is located on the southern Seward Peninsula coast on the Norton Sound of the Bering Sea. It has a population of 4000. A great place to have an Alaskan adventure. Norton Sound Health Corporation is organized in six sections: Community Health Services, Hospital Services, Medical Staff, Human Resources, Finance, and Engineering and Capital Projects. The President/CEO and General Counsel report directly to the Board of Directors. Direct reports to the President/CEO include those from the Chief Operations Officer, Medical Director, Compliance Officer, Quality Director, Public Relations, Administration, and Tribal Self-Governance.

The departments under Community Health Services include Village Health Services, Behavioral Health Services, Health Aide Training, Wellness, Office of Environmental Health, Infant Learning Program, and Environmental Services/Laundry. Village Health Services manages village clinic staff, including Community Health Aides and Clinic Travel Clerks. Behavioral Health Services includes Nome staff and Village-Based Counseling. The Wellness department includes CAMP, WIC, Tribal Healing, and Nutrition Services.

Position: Fulltime position Working in one of the regional village clinics Must have solid primary care experience and be able to handle emergencies Seeing all ages of patients Monday - Friday 8am-5pm Sharing call duties with other providers in the village Call is usually about 1-2 weeknights per week and one weekend per month Compensation and benefits $180,000 - $200,000 DOE Comprehensive benefit plan $20,000 sign on bonus Substantial retention bonus Relocation up to $15,000 $6,000 CME CME time off
