RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 (goal is 4:1, mostly 5:1)
• Weekend requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting system experience required
• 32 hours of orientation provided
• Float within skillset to other PCU or medical-surgical units as needed
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
• Accept first-time travelers and pending licenses from non-compact states
• Experience required in telemetry, PCU, DOU, IMC, and stepdown settings
• Must be proficient in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Administer cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, dopamine, Amiodarone, and others without titration
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
• Competency required in chest tubes, trach care, PICC line management, and medication administration
• Respiratory skills including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, CPAP, BiPAP, and non-invasive airway management
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with general medicine diagnoses
• Work with remote telemetry monitoring and tele-sitting support systems

The facility features a 26-bed Progressive Care Unit focusing on general medicine and observation patients, with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
