???? What You'll Be Doing

As a Material Handler, you'll play a critical role in keeping production running smoothly by ensuring materials and finished products are moved accurately and efficiently throughout the facility.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating a forklift for approximately 50% of your shift
• Delivering materials to production lines to maintain workflow
• Moving finished products to shipping and warehouse areas
• Receiving, labeling, organizing, and storing inventory
• Performing inventory transactions within company computer systems
• Assisting with cycle counts and physical inventory
• Loading, unloading, and transporting materials safely
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Working closely with production, warehouse, and shipping teams

✅ Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• 2+ years of manufacturing or production experience
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills for inventory transactions
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Preferred:

• Experience with inventory management systems
• Shipping, receiving, or warehouse logistics experience
• Experience in industrial manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with coatings, adhesives, or similar products

???? Work Environment

This position is located in a high-volume manufacturing facility that produces industrial coatings and adhesive-based products used in items such as non-slip walking surfaces, safety materials, and specialty industrial products.

You will work around large production machinery in a busy manufacturing setting. The facility has noticeable odors associated with industrial adhesives and chemicals, and all employees are provided with the appropriate safety equipment and training needed to work safely.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKE BLUFF, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
