Plant Human Resources ManagerAs the Plant HR Manager, you'll serve as the human resources leader for a single manufacturing facility with fewer than 200 employees. This role is responsible for overseeing all HR functions across both manufacturing (hourly) and salaried/office employees.As the first level of HR management within an operations environment, you'll partner closely with plant leadership to provide strategic HR guidance, drive change, and support business needs related to talent, culture, and operational excellence.What You'll DoStrategic Leadership & CultureAct as a safety leader, ensuring safety is prioritized in all HR activities and decisionsSupport WCOM initiatives and lead the Talent & Engagement (T&E) pillarPromote and champion Amcor's health, wellness, and engagement initiativesServe as a trusted advisor and active member of the plant leadership teamDrive change leadership, consistency, and sustainability across HR initiativesContribute to the development of a world-class organization and the strengthening of Amcor cultureEmployee Relations & ComplianceServe as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concernsHandle escalated employee relations matters with professionalism, fairness, and discretionConduct employee investigations and manage corrective action, discipline, and terminationsAct as the primary liaison between employees, management, and unions (if applicable)Deliver union avoidance training and ensure compliance with labor and employment policiesEnsure delivery of required annual trainings (e.g., anti-harassment, core values, union avoidance)Protect employee data and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and integrityTalent & Performance ManagementProvide guidance to leaders on performance coaching, Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and career developmentSupport workforce planning activities, including organizational design, talent reviews, promotions, succession planning, and salary planningEnsure the facility is hiring, developing, and retaining top talentInstitutionalize the performance management process and support meaningful performance and reward differentiationHR Operations & ProjectsEnsure accurate and timely data entry in Workday and maintain high standards of data integrityPartner with leaders to understand and effectively apply HR systems and processesSupport and promote the HR Service Delivery Model, encouraging appropriate employee self-serviceManage and lead HR-related projects, including site-level and company-wide initiativesCollaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Shared Services to ensure HR programs meet business needsSuccessfully execute milestone targets aligned with the HR roadmapCollaboration & Continuous ImprovementNetwork with internal and external HR professionals to share best practicesDrive continuous improvement and standardization across HR processesLead, inspire, and develop individuals in alignment with the overall Human Capital StrategyWhat We ValueSolid understanding of Amcor's Global Total Rewards StrategyWorking knowledge of HR systems (Workday preferred)Solid problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to influence, collaborate, and challenge the status quoChange and thought leadership capabilitiesExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsResults-oriented mindset with strong execution skillsDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standardsWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field5+ years of progressive HR experienceExperience in manufacturing or operations environments preferredDemonstrated project management experienceWCOM Foundations or similar business process improvement training preferredPHR certification preferredOur ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location.
