Substitute - Custodian

Summary
We are seeking individuals to join our School and Facilities team as a Substitute - Custodian. This position is essential for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within our facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing various areas of the facility.
- Ensure that restrooms, hallways, classrooms, and common areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for events and meetings.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Manager promptly.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to established protocols.
- Follow established schedules for cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure all areas are serviced regularly.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support overall facility operations.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.

Requirements
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand or walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings
