Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description

The Machine Operator performs a variety of manual labor and light maintenance tasks to support smooth production operations and a clean, organized facility. This role focuses on operating production equipment, assisting with facility upkeep, and handling general labor tasks in a climate-controlled environment.

• Operate production and extrusion machinery safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
• Perform general labor tasks, including lifting, moving, and organizing materials as needed to support production activities.
• Help clean the facility by sweeping floors, removing debris, and maintaining a tidy work area.
• Rearrange storage areas to improve organization and workflow, including stacking, labeling, and positioning materials.
• Complete minor facility repairs such as replacing light bulbs and performing basic upkeep as needed.
• Monitor machines during operation and report any mechanical issues or irregularities promptly.
• Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate tools and equipment correctly.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate work, report issues, and support production goals.

• Experience with general labor tasks in an industrial or production environment.
• Ability to operate production and machine equipment, including extrusion machinery.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand basic machine functions and perform minor adjustments.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow established procedures.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
• Ability to perform manual labor, including standing for extended periods and handling physical tasks.

• Prior experience as a machine operator or in a production setting.
• Comfort working with tools and basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and performing minor facility repairs.
• Ability to stay organized when rearranging storage areas and maintaining clean workspaces.

The role is based in a climate-controlled production facility, providing a comfortable temperature year-round. Work involves manual labor and machine operation in an industrial setting, with time spent on the production floor and in storage areas. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chattanooga,TN.
