Job Title: Operating Room RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:15 - 17:45) Experience: 2 years of recent experience required in Orthopedics, Vascular, GYN, Robotics, ENT, and General cases. License: Active Compact or State License required. Certifications: Must have BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications. Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience preferred. Description: The position requires an OR RN Circulator with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience. Experience in Orthopedics, Vascular, GYN, Robotics, ENT, and General cases is required. The nurse will be scheduled on call every 4th weekend and two nights per week. Floating within the scope of practice is required. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 15 patients, with 4 operating rooms available. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy. The nurse will encounter a range of patient diagnoses and be involved in various surgical procedures. Skills required include administering blood and blood products, performing laparoscopic procedures, and managing anesthetic monitoring among others. Travel experience is required for this position. The nurse must be willing to comply with holiday work requirements. References from one Charge or Higher and one Supervisor must be provided. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to deliver quality patient care in a team environment.
