Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Obstetrics/Gynecology unit will be responsible for providing care for labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn nursery care, including pre-transition care for newborns. This role is key to ensuring both maternal and infant health through all stages of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care for laboring mothers in the delivery process.
• Oversee postpartum care and support for new mothers and infants.
• Administer care in the newborn nursery, ensuring optimal health for newborns.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for efficient patient management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery and nursery care.
• Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Tennessee.
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS.
