Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for providing high-quality care to patients in an emergency environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, assessing and monitoring patients' conditions.
Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and guidelines.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Conduct assessments, including obtaining patient histories and performing physical examinations.
Manage emergency situations and provide critical interventions as needed.
Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and health management strategies.
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the Emergency Room specialty is required.
Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state at the time of application.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required.
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.

Schedule

This position requires working night shifts, specifically 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including at least every other holiday.

Additional Information

New hires will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation, with acceptable scores required on both assessments.
