Senior Staff AccountantWe're partnering with a well-established Indianapolis company to identify a Senior Staff Accountant who can bring strong analytical skills, accounting expertise, and attention to detail to a growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant looking to make an immediate impact while gaining long-term career potential through a contract-to-hire arrangement.In this role, you'll work closely with leadership on financial reporting, month-end activities, process improvements, and strategic accounting initiatives. The ideal candidate is hands-on, enjoys digging into the details, and is comfortable working across multiple areas of accounting.What You'll Be DoingLead key components of the monthly and annual close processPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesAnalyze financial information to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standardsAssist with financial statement preparation and reporting activitiesTrack, maintain, and reconcile fixed asset recordsReview accruals, prepaid expenses, and balance sheet accountsSupport external audit and annual review efforts by gathering documentation and responding to requestsParticipate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activitiesPartner with operational departments to strengthen accounting procedures and improve reporting accuracyContribute to special projects, process enhancements, and system improvementsWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of financial reporting and general ledger accountingAdvanced Excel skills and comfort learning new software platformsExcellent organizational and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailPreferred QualificationsCPA or CPA-track candidateExperience working in a multi-entity or multi-location business environmentExposure to ERP systems such as NetSuiteManufacturing, distribution, or privately held company experience is a plusLocation: Indianapolis, IN Schedule: Fully Onsite | Monday–Friday Position Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Details: $34.00 to $37.00 per hour
