Caregiver/Provider

About the Job

The company is looking for a caregiver to take care of homebound patients for approved hours/day in the Greater Houston Area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school graduate or enrolled in a vocational education program.
• Must be able to speak Spanish.
• Experienced at least 6 months.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to keep simple records.
• Experienced in understanding and caring for the aged and disabled convalescing person.
• Not be a legal parent, foster parent, or spouse of a parent of a minor who receives the service.
• Not be the parent of the individual who receives the service, except for FC services.
• Not be designated by a DADS case manager on DADS' authorization for community care services form as "Do not hire".

LIFTING REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary.
• Ability to participate in physical activity.
• Ability to work for an extended period of time while standing and being involved in physical activity.
• Heavy lifting.
• Ability to do extensive bending, lifting, and standing on a regular basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The following tasks are inclusive, but not limited to be performed by the provider:

• Bathing, Transfer/Ambulation, Dressing Cleaning.
• Exercising, Laundry, Grooming, Meal Preparation.
• Routine Hair/Skincare, Escort, Toileting, Shopping.
• Provide clients with communication assistance, type their correspondence, and obtain information for them.
• Transport clients to locations outside the home, such as physicians' offices or on outings, using a motor vehicle.

Job Types:

Part-time 20 hours a week 5 days.

Pay:

$9.00 per hour.
