Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed Medical Surgical unit, managing a patient ratio of 1:5 (occasionally 1:6)
• Care for a primarily medical patient population including respiratory, GI, behavioral health, and surgical overflow cases
• Read and independently interpret telemetry strips; monitor patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen as coordinated with Respiratory Therapy
• Manage set-rate drips including heparin, PCAs, and morphine drips
• Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs (1:8 ratio), and virtual tele techs to ensure safe, coordinated patient care
• Precept nursing students and potentially orient new travel nurses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Idaho
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Willingness to precept students and new travel nurses

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with SpaceLab or Philips telemetry monitoring systems
• Familiarity with behavioral health patient management within a medical unit setting
• Prior travel nursing experience with flexibility to float to like units within the system
