Senior Payroll Administrator

We have a medium sized construction company in San Jose, CA seeking a strong Certified Payroll Administrator to join their team. This role is an urgent need and we will be conducting interviews as early as Tuesday May 26th. Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 annually Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Certified Payroll Administrator to manage and execute payroll processing for approximately 300 employees . The ideal candidate will have expertise in union payroll processing and proficiency with Sage 300 . This is an onsite position, 5 days a week , providing an opportunity to work closely with HR and finance teams. Key Responsibilities Process accurate and timely payroll for ~300 employees on a regular schedule. Manage union payroll processing , including adherence to collective bargaining agreements. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Reconcile payroll reports and prepare necessary documentation for audits. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries. Generate and distribute payroll reports, including year-end forms and regulatory filings. Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data at all times. Qualifications Certification as a Payroll Administrator or equivalent. Proven experience with union payroll processing . Proficiency with Sage 300 payroll software . Strong understanding of payroll laws, compliance, and best practices. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with employees and management.
