CT Technologist

Job Summary This position operates computed tomography scanners for a variety of procedures following directives of staff radiologists. The position is responsible for explaining procedures to the patients, administering contrast media as requested, and scheduling patients in an organized manner. All duties are performed per approved protocol. Responsibilities Obtain patient clinical history for procedure. Review lab values and screen patient for allergies to determine contraindications to contrast media. Administer oral and IV contrast media. Operate CT scanners for a variety of procedures. Coordinate workload with other clinical sections and departments. Monitor quality in patient care functions. Minimum Qualifications ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists). ARRT-DOH (Ohio Department of Health) license. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from American Heart Association. Graduate of an accredited radiography program. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Work Schedule Shift: Day. Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Department: CT Scan.
