  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, focusing on understanding the severity, frequency, and duration of challenges.

  • Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that incorporate their unique needs, treatment goals, and therapeutic preferences.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring interventions to promote client engagement and progress.

  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, empowerment strategies, and available treatment options to promote self-management and resilience.

  • Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey and modify treatment plans as needed based on evolving needs.

  • Work alongside psychiatrists and a network of healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.

  • Keep abreast of the latest research and emerging trends in mental health treatment to effectively inform clinical practices.

  • Maintain compliance with ethical and legal standards through meticulous documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will include individuals experiencing mood disorders, such as major depression, bipolar disorder, and various anxiety-related conditions. You will be equipped to support clients of all ages as they navigate their unique challenges, emphasizing holistic and patient-centered approaches that foster recovery and promote mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as LCSW-C, LCMFT, LMFT, or LCPC in the state of Maryland.

  • Proven proficiency in evidence-based practices for treating mood disorders with successful outcomes.

  • Solid understanding of psychopharmacology, enabling effective collaboration with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Exceptional communication skills and a strong ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
