Warehouse Floor Manager

Job Title: Warehouse Floor Manager Supervisor: Director of Warehouse Operations Supervisory Responsibilities: Cross Functional Associate Distribution Associate Forklift Operator Receiving Dock Associate Receiving Dock Supervisor Selector Status: Full-time (40 hours) Non-Exempt Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior supervisory or management experience in a retail or warehouse setting and experience operating power equipment is preferred. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification. Physical Requirements: This position works in a typical warehouse setting and will be exposed to extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions. There will be extended periods of sitting, standing, and/or bending, pulling, and reaching. This position would normally have routine opportunities for the employee to alter their physical position or change eye focus. This position requires the safe use of power equipment. Employees should have the ability to lift up to 80 pounds without assistance. Position Summary: Responsible for assisting with the management of day-to-day warehouse operations in collaboration with, or in the absence of, the Director of Warehouse Operations. Manages, monitors, and supports multiple roles within warehouse operations and supervises employees. Duties and Responsibilities Assists in the day-to-day management and operations of the warehouse. Maintains warehouse sanitation, health, and safety standards following guidelines from Feeding America, AIB, New York State, the USDA, and other regulatory bodies. Assigns truck runs to selectors and monitors progress to ensure timely, safe, and accurate completion. Supports fiscal responsibility while staying within budget. Opens or closes the facility in the absence of the Director of Warehouse Operations. Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and development of warehouse staff. Provides input for employee performance reviews, counseling, and terminations. Responsible for the accurate and timely review and approval of employee time and time off through the timekeeping system. Follows all safety standards and procedures. Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank. Adheres to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
