PRODUCTION SPECIALIST (Korean/English)
AUBURN/OPELIKA, AL

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and bilingual Korean/English Production Specialist to support manufacturing operations by serving as the communication bridge between Korean leadership and English-speaking production teams. This role is responsible for translating verbal and written communications, coordinating production activities, supporting employee training, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary liaison between Korean management and English-speaking production employees.
• Translate and interpret meetings, work instructions, technical documents, production schedules, and safety materials between Korean and English.
• Assist production management with coordinating daily manufacturing activities to meet production goals.
• Support onboarding and training of new employees by translating training materials and procedures.
• Communicate production priorities, process changes, and quality expectations clearly to all team members.
• Monitor workflow and collaborate with supervisors to resolve production issues and improve efficiency.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing projects, and process documentation.
• Promote compliance with company safety policies and quality standards.
• Prepare production reports, maintain records, and assist with administrative duties as assigned.
• Foster positive communication and teamwork across all departments.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in Korean and English (spoken and written); interpretation and translation experience preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with Korean-owned or Korean-operated manufacturing companies.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
• Familiarity with production planning, quality systems, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to build productive relationships across multicultural teams.
