A health services network in New York City is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a great opportunity at one of their outpatient medical practice in Staten Island. The role focuses on diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, and ongoing management of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
• Hours: Standard business
• Setting: Outpatient

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients through history review, physical examinations, and clinical assessment
• Diagnose and treat a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions
• Develop and manage ongoing treatment, medication, and preventive care plans
• Perform non-invasive gastroenterology procedures as appropriate
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with the care team to support quality patient outcomes

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or foreign equivalent
• Completion of four years of postgraduate medical training from a U.S.-accredited residency program in the area of practice
• Three years of U.S. gastroenterology fellowship training
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Current, unrestricted New York State medical license
• Active DEA registration or eligibility for registration
• Active Medicare and Medicaid enrollment or eligibility to enroll
• BLS or ACLS certification
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience using an electronic medical record system and Microsoft Office

Desired Skills:

• One to three years of outpatient gastroenterology clinical experience
• Experience delivering care in a population health management environment
• Strong patient-centered approach
• Ability to manage diverse gastrointestinal conditions with a focus on safety and quality

Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
