Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Santa Monica, California.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 4x10hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 12, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with a minimum of 1 year acute care cath lab experience for a STEMI and stroke receiving center.Details\n \n Acute care hospital serving as a STEMI and stroke receiving center with 4 labs\n Support cardiac, EP, VTE thrombectomy, interventional neuro, and interventional radiology procedures\n Procedures include TAVR/TMVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, diagnostic and interventional cardiology, diagnostic and interventional neuro, and IR\n 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday\n On-call required weekdays 1730-0700 and weekends/holidays 0700-0700, with 10-14 call shifts within a 42 day schedule\n Must be willing to float between specialties within the lab\n Uses Epic for charting\n Requirements\n \n Minimum of 1 year acute care experience in Cath Lab required\n BLS and ACLS certification required\n ARRT certification required (RCIS accepted)\n Fluoroscopy Permit required\n State license required if applicable, and must be in hand at time of consideration\n Community hospital experience required\n Stroke/IR experience preferred; EP/structural heart experience not required\n Epic charting experience required\n Additional Information\n \n Responsibilities include accurate monitoring, equipment set up, EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, room circulating, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures\n Assist with vascular studies including angioplasty, carotid stenting, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy\n Support electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, and pacemaker/AICD insertion\n Support cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, left/right heart catheterization, and TAVR\n Support neurological procedures including carotid angiography, embolization, and stent placement\n Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff\n First-time travelers will be considered for this role\n Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50 mile radius\n Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50 mile radius of the facility\n Must be willing to float between sister facilities as needed\n RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of consideration; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated\n Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)\n 2 supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-757318.
