Pay : $100,000 - $110,000/year
At Area Heating & Cooling, Inc., we've built our reputation by doing things differently. As a locally owned and operated company, we maintain steady, year-round work through three strong divisions: Service, Residential Replacement, and New Construction.
We are looking for a strong, experienced HVAC Service Manager who knows how to lead people, build accountability, improve performance, and create a positive team culture - not just manage a board.
This role is ideal for a proven leader who can develop technicians, drive operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and help elevate an already established service department. We want someone who leads from the front, communicates well with both employees and customers, and takes pride in building a team that people want to be part of.

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Lead, coach, and develop HVAC Service Technicians and support staff
- Create accountability around performance, customer experience, efficiency, and professionalism
- Work closely with dispatch and office staff to improve scheduling, communication, and workflow efficiency
- Monitor KPIs, technician productivity, callbacks, maintenance conversions, and overall department performance
- Support technicians with troubleshooting, escalations, and technical guidance when needed
- Conduct ride-alongs, performance coaching, and ongoing technician development
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and retain top talent
- Help create a positive culture focused on teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
- Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with company standards and safety expectations
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and leadership regarding job status and service concerns
- Help drive department growth while maintaining high service standards and customer satisfaction

- Strong leadership background within HVAC or skilled trades service industries
- Proven ability to manage, motivate, and hold teams accountable
- Experience improving technician performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Strong operational mindset with the ability to balance customer service and profitability
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to lead calmly under pressure and make sound decisions quickly
- Experience managing service boards, dispatch coordination, and technician workflow preferred
- Understanding of residential HVAC service and repair operations preferred
- Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
- Reliable, professional, and highly self-motivated
