Available for January 1, 2026, IU Columbus School of Nursing is seeking to fill multiple non-tenure track appointments at the rank or Lecturer or Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor. Rank will be dependent on qualifications and experience. The position is a 10-month teaching assignment. The initial appointment will be for three years, with opportunity for annual reappointment.

Lecturers are responsible for teaching, and for research and service that support teaching. The Lecturer rank is responsible for teaching clinical and/or didactic courses in the undergraduate program and other courses as appropriate. The Clinical Professor (Assistant or Associate) responsibilities include providing professional service in the clinical setting, teaching undergraduate nursing courses (didactic and clinical) including clinical supervision in hospitals and community settings, and engaging in service to the school and clinical/community partnerships.

Qualifications for Clinical position: Ph.D. or terminal degree in related field is required. For Lecturer position: Master's degree is required. Teaching experience for initial appointment is 1-3 years at the undergraduate, graduate, and/or professional level, is preferred. Good interpersonal and effective communication skills. Ability to work cooperatively within team. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana.

Starting salary for Lecturer rank is $65,000. Starting salary for Clinical Assistant Professor rank is $77,000. IU Columbus is located one hour south of Indianapolis, 1-1/4 hours from Louisville, and 1-1/2 hours from Cincinnati. Columbus is known for its world class architecture, wonderful programs for young children, many parks, excellent philharmonic orchestra, and people trails. IU Columbus enrolls approximately 1,000 students as a branch campus of IU Indianapolis, and undergraduate and graduate students have access to degrees from Indiana University conferred in Columbus. Students engage in classes of the same rigor and academic experiences as any student at IU, but on a smaller, more close-knit campus.
