Registered Nurse

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and support patients and families through all stages of treatment. You will perform assessments, administer medications, develop care plans, and maintain accurate documentation. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely in accordance with provider orders and organizational policies. Perform comprehensive and focused patient assessments, recognizing and promptly responding to changes in condition. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and coordinate individualized care plans. Document all care, assessments, and patient responses accurately and timely in the electronic medical record. Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, procedures, and discharge instructions. Practice infection prevention, fall prevention, and all patient safety protocols to maintain a safe care environment. Participate in bedside handoff, interdisciplinary rounds, and care conferences to ensure continuity and quality of care. Engage in orientation, ongoing education, competency validation, and clinical skills development as a Registered Nurse I. Contribute to unit-based quality improvement initiatives and follow evidence-based best practices. Advocate for patient needs, preferences, and rights while demonstrating cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity. Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring effective communication and coordination of services.
