Apply now!Material Handler Responsibilities:Operate forklift truckProvide adequate supplies of work-in-process materials from storage areas to production departments and transports other materialsDeliver metal strips or blanks to production lines placing on stock tables or platformsDeliver unassembled cases or bags to work area for assemblyDeliver product-filled cases on strapped pallets to designated staging areas for transportation to warehouseTransport scrap to designated areas as requiredPerform color changesKeep departmental work areas, aisles and storage areas safe, orderly and free of obstructions such as empty skids, pallets or trays, spoiled product, scrap boxes and pallet loads of finished product, etc.Requirements for Material Handler:Able to operate a sit-down forkliftAble to ensure the security of product loads before transportingAble to work overtime as neededAble to work in a non-temperature-controlled environmentIntermediate computer skills to input dataAble to read and understand production instructions, quality control instructions and perform math calculations using decimalsAble to push, pull and lift heavy objects ranging up to approximately 50 lbsIND017 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
