Seeking applications engineer with experience using automated multi-axis CNC machine tools to support machine tool selection, numerical control (NC) programming, test cuts, process design, project management, installation and support for both retrofits and new systems. Act as company-client liaison during pre-planning through commissioning. OBJECTIVES: • Visit customer plants to inspect, analyze, and document current equipment, capacities, infrastructure, facility layout, power distribution systems, etc. • Present machine and process recommendations and alternatives based on information gathered at worksite. • Specify, design, model, lay out, and place machine tools and tooling accessories using advanced CAD software packages. • Troubleshoot, debug, and improve CNC programming for machine tools based on customer needs and specifications. • Oversee and support installation, set up, testing, and customer training of systems.
