Urgent Care APP Locums Job in Virginia 3 Shifts/Week Beginning As Soon As Credentialed - Ongoing Assignment

Coverage Details
Coverage dates: Start ASAP until perm hired
Credentialing time frame: 60 to 90 days
Coverage for 4 locations


Shift Details
Clinics are open 7 days per week, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Shifts are 12+ hours depending upon patient flow
3 shifts per week
Weekend coverage required

Requirements
Board Certified
Active Virginia license
Active BLS certification
Active DEA
At least 1 year of experience in an ED/ER, primary care, or urgent care setting
Clean background with no malpractice or license issues

Required Procedures / Skills
Laceration repair including simple, intermediate, and complex suturing or stapling
Incision and drainage (I&D) including packing
Foreign body removal
Minor burn management
Skin lesion care
Orthopedic and injury stabilization
Splinting and casting
Joint reduction
Diagnostic and point-of-care testing
X-ray interpretation
Electrocardiogram (EKG) evaluation
Point-of-care lab interpretation including rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, and blood glucose testing
Epistaxis management including anterior nasal packing or chemical cautery
Cerumen impaction removal
Airway support including nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization

Assignment Details
Practice setting: Clinic
100% outpatient
Average patient volume varies by clinic and may range from 25 to 50 patients per day
EMR: Epic
No call coverage required
Coverage location includes multiple locations across the Virginia area
