Vision Quest Solutions is seeking a highly professional and mission-focused Armed Protective Services Specialist to support security, emergency response, wilderness medicine, and fire response operations in a dynamic operating environment.This position is ideal for a disciplined protective services professional with experience in armed security, emergency medical response, remote or austere environments, and first-response fire support. The selected candidate will serve as a visible security and safety presence while also providing immediate response to medical incidents, environmental hazards, fire-related emergencies, evacuations, and other safety and security concerns.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide armed security and protective services support in accordance with company policy, client requirements, and applicable laws.
• Maintain a professional, alert, and visible presence to deter threats, identify hazards, and support a safe operating environment.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide care within the limits of certification, training, and local law.
• Support wilderness medicine and remote-site emergency response, including patient stabilization, evacuation coordination, and communication with EMS.
• Conduct fire watch, hazard identification, evacuation support, and first-response fire support when safe and authorized.
• Assist with emergency planning, incident reporting, access control, patrols, safety inspections, and site security operations.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, EMS, emergency management, and client leadership during incidents.
• Maintain strict professionalism, sound judgment, and situational awareness during routine and emergency operations.
• Complete accurate reports for security incidents, medical responses, fire hazards, safety concerns, and emergency actions taken.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Current or ability to obtain required armed security license, firearm authorization, guard card, SPO commission, or state/local equivalent.
• Current firearms qualification, where required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
• Emergency response experience with the ability to provide initial medical support, recognize urgent medical conditions, assist with stabilization, and coordinate appropriate follow-on care within the limits of training, certification, and applicable law.
• Experience operating in outdoor, remote, wilderness, industrial, camp, border, disaster response, or austere environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to pass background screening, drug screening, and client suitability requirements.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, and changing schedules as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, Wilderness EMT, or Wilderness First Responder.
• Firefighter I/II, Wildland Firefighter Type 2, S-130/S-190, or equivalent fire response training.
• ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, and IS-800.
• Prior law enforcement, military, fire service, EMS, emergency management, park safety, protective services, or protective security experience.
• Experience with evacuation operations, emergency communications, land navigation, trauma response, and incident command.
• Experience supporting government, critical infrastructure, remote-site, executive protection, or high-threat security operations.

The ideal candidate is a mature, disciplined, and physically capable protective services professional who can serve as an armed security officer, first responder, and emergency support resource. This person must be able to make sound decisions under stress, operate safely in remote or challenging environments, and understand the importance of working within legal authority, medical scope of practice, and company procedures.
