Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to gain insight into patients' histories and formulate targeted treatment strategies.

  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, utilizing methodologies like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that help clients process their experiences and develop essential coping skills.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to deliver cohesive care for patients, ensuring all therapeutic efforts are aligned.

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention when necessary, guiding clients through trauma-related emergencies and contributing to their stabilization.

  • Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and the resources available to them during their healing journey.

  • Maintain meticulous records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, including up-to-date documentation within our electronic health record (EHR) system.

  • Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base primarily consists of individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, assault, and other life-altering events. You will have the chance to work with a diverse group of clients, each requiring tailored approaches to help them navigate their unique challenges and achieve optimal mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to empathize and connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and computer applications related to mental health documentation.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n

  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, ideally within a trauma-focused setting.

  • Demonstrated competence in delivering trauma-specific therapies and engaging clients in a therapeutic alliance.

Compensation and Benefits\n
