Fine Wine Sales Representative - Fresno

We have a unique opportunity for a Fine Wine Sales Representative in the Fresno area and we're looking for someone who is a great fit.

Position Summary:

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving supplier distribution growth, achieving assigned sales objectives, maximizing growth opportunities within existing accounts, opening new accounts, and increasing market share through proactive account management, strategic selling, and consistent, disciplined follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop customer base through superior knowledge of our portfolio, quality presentations and consistent servicing of accounts
- Regularly conduct in-person sales calls minimum 2X / month with existing and potential new customers within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain buyer relationships at high profile and top volume accounts through in-person direct calling cadence
- Deliver Quarterly and Annual sales Targets by building weekly action plans, tracking progress, and refining tactics
- Create weekly action plan required to reach sales goals and expand customer base.
- Grow portfolio placements and revenue within each account by effectively targeting On Sale wine lists, BTG, Off Sale shelf placements and displays
- Properly plan and execute assigned Supplier work-withs with set appointments, aligned customers, and follow ups from generated leads
- Lead staff trainings, host regular tastings, and be the first call and trusted source of wine knowledge for your accounts.
- Effectively communicate both internally and externally to insure timely dissemination of information, allocations, offerings, price changes, last call, vintage changes, etc.
- Be the frontline resource for your territory: managing orders, solving issues, keeping AR current, maintaining consistent account engagement.

Qualifications:

- Experience: At least 2 years proven sales experience selling fine wine to restaurants, hotels and key retail customers and comfort with presentation skills.
- Skills:
- Willingness and ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
- Professional knowledge of fine wine with experience selling wines from the “Old World”, CA, OR, WA, Argentina, Sake, Artisanal Spirits
- Industry certifications a plus, (WSET, CMS, SWE, etc…)
- Must be goal oriented, well organized, wine passionate, with a desire to win
- A self-starter that also responds well to direction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/ Sales platforms ( Pocket advantage a plus)
- Must reside within territory.
Licenses and Certifications: Must possess valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance and dependable vehicle.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry cases of wine weighing up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and travel between accounts by vehicle.
