Floor Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-driven Floor Service Manager to join our management team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being present on the floor, leading from the front, and creating an exceptional guest experience in a high-energy restaurant environment.

The Floor Service Manager will oversee daily front-of-house operations during service, ensuring that our team delivers professional, attentive, and efficient hospitality while maintaining the standards and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and actively manage the dining room during service

• Supervise, coach, and motivate servers, server assistants, hosts, and other FOH team members

• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities, reservations, VIPs, menu updates, and service standards

• Monitor table flow, pacing, reservations, and guest experience throughout the evening

• Work closely with the host team to maximize seating and table utilization

• Maintain strong communication between the kitchen, bar, host stand, and service team

• Handle guest concerns professionally and proactively

• Ensure service standards, cleanliness, uniforms, and opening/closing procedures are consistently followed

• Assist with staff training and continued development

• Help manage large parties, VIP guests, and special events

• Support management with scheduling, labor control, and daily operational needs

• Maintain a strong presence on the floor throughout service rather than managing from the office

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of restaurant management or strong supervisory experience preferred

• Experience in an upscale, high-volume, or nightlife-driven restaurant environment is a plus

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Excellent understanding of restaurant service and hospitality

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

• Strong problem-solving and guest-recovery skills

• Professional appearance and positive attitude

• Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
