Job-ID Reference TypeContractExperience1The Engineer Design contractor position for client Gas assists in the planning, design, and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects. The right candidate must be a self-starter, excellent communicator, critical thinker and able to make sound decisions.Natural Gas is an essential part of America’s Energy mix and a trusted energy source for more than 70 million homes and businesses. This position is an exciting opportunity for persons who enjoy the challenges of supporting the construction of natural gas facilities.As our Engineer in the design group, a typical day might include:Working on gas storage or gas fueling station assignmentsPerforming assignments involving the design of components or functionality of pipeline productsInvolved in the planning and design of mechanical equipment and components involving maintenance of mechanical equipment.Performing system balances to determine the best overall solution to solve system issues or identify system low points and methods to best solve them.Provide oversight and support for construction activitiesThis might be the job for you if:You have a high level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to leverage internal and external stakeholders to efficiently accomplish tasks and resolve issuesYou have the ability and initiative and to work in a self-guided manner and collaborativelyYou have a customer focused critical thinking mindset with a demonstrated ability to learn and become proficient in proposing solutions and completing tasks.You have excellent oral and written communication skillsYou can work across a matrix organization structure with horizontal and vertical teamsWhat candidate will need to qualify for this position:BA/BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or General)1-3 years of progressive Engineering experienceOrEquivalent academic education and experienceCertifications/Licenses:
Preferred: Engineer in Training (E.I.T.)
