Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler
Job Description
This role is responsible for assembling, inspecting, testing, repairing, and refurbishing robotic parts and machines while supporting continuous improvement of repair and refurbishment processes. You will work with detailed drawings, schematics, and work instructions to build high-quality electro-mechanical assemblies that meet internal and external customer requirements and align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assemble robot electro-mechanical assemblies by following work instructions, drawings, schematics, blueprints, and checklists.
- Inspect, test, and repair robotic parts and machines to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
- Refurbish robotic components and machines according to defined processes and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve processes and procedures for robot repair and refurbishment.
- Prioritize safety, quality, and teamwork in all tasks and promptly report any issues or concerns.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area to support efficient and compliant operations.
- Accurately record manufacturing and production data using MES software and other required systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measurement tools, such as micrometers, to perform precise assembly and adjustments.
- Perform electrical and mechanical assembly, including wiring, soldering, and machine building activities.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and other technical documentation to complete complex assemblies.
- Provide process improvement recommendations based on hands-on experience and observations on the production floor.
- Assist in training other team members on assembly methods, safety practices, and process updates.
- Support other departments with in-process inspections, material handling, and related production activities as needed.
- Perform warehouse and inventory duties related to pre-count inventory and material control.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure repair and refurbishment work supports overall business objectives.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical assembly, including hands-on work with robotic or electro-mechanical systems.
- Ability to assemble, test, inspect, and repair robot electro-mechanical assemblies by following detailed work instructions, drawings, schematics, and checklists.
- Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Experience in electrical assembly, including wiring and soldering of components and harnesses.
- Capability to perform mechanical assembly and machine building, including fitting, aligning, and securing parts.
- Ability to use measurement tools such as micrometers and other precision instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Familiarity with electronic assembly practices and safe handling of electrical components.
- Comfort working with MES software or similar systems to accurately record manufacturing data.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Ability to support general labor tasks related to production, assembly, and material handling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in robot repair, refurbishment, or maintenance within a manufacturing or production setting.
- Experience in machine building or machine tool assembly.
- Exposure to process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience assisting with training of colleagues or new team members.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory control, and pre-count inventory activities.
- Comfort supporting cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and materials.
- Ability to adapt to evolving processes and contribute suggestions to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Availability for a contract role of approximately six months, with potential for extension or conversion based on performance and business needs.

Work Environment
This position is based in a robotics manufacturing and production environment focused on building, repairing, and refurbishing robotic machines and electro-mechanical assemblies. You will work on a production floor using hand tools, power tools, measurement instruments such as micrometers, and MES software to document manufacturing activities. The work involves reading and working from blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions while collaborating closely with other team members and departments. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement. The role is structured as a contract position of approximately six months, with the possibility of longer-term engagement depending on business needs and individual performance.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Salem, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
