Job Overview Location: UCHealth Pikes Peak Reg Hospital, Woodland Park, CO. Department: PPRH Emergency Room. Work Schedule: Part Time, 48.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift: Nights. Pay: $35.29 - $54.71 / hour, depending on relevant experience. Type: Onsite role; no hybrid or remote option. Summary: Provides direct patient care at a proficient level, using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, aligned with the organization’s policies, values, and mission. Responsibilities Effectively cares for a broad range of patient populations and conditions and prioritizes care in a fast‑paced clinical Emergency Department environment, emphasizing high‑quality, safe patient care while maintaining a focus on department throughput and efficiency. Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to a multidisciplinary care team; collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient/family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances; delegates patient care to ancillary personnel and may precept student nurses and new hires. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision; must handle fast‑paced environments and take appropriate action. Requirements Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing‑approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years’ experience; preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. State licensure as an RN required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider credential (American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer) with card in‑hand before start date; card must be current through sixty days of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred at time of hire or within 6 months of hire. Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course or PALS certification within 6 months of hire. Trauma Nurse Core Course or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses within 1 year of hire. Six months of nursing (RN) experience.
