CNC Machinist (Operator A) - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a CNC Machinist (Operator A) – 2nd Shift in Glenolden, PA. Shift hours: 2PM – 11:15PM, Monday–Friday. Pay: $26.50 per hour plus a 15% shift premium. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints generated per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 guidelines and manufacture parts that conform to the same specifications. Set up and run CNC lathes (3‑ or 4‑axis) and CNC mills (4‑ or 5‑axis) in a production environment. Interpret and edit G‑code NC programs. Set up and operate simple machine tools such as drill presses, manual presses, saws and shears. Set up and operate manual lathes and/or mills. Sharpen various cutting tools. Inspect GD&T features using basic and advanced inspection techniques, including vernier calipers, micrometers, indicators, comparators, bore micrometers, surface plates and Coordinate‑Measuring Machines. Assist Manufacturing Engineering with intermediate and some advanced machining troubleshooting. Assist Manufacturing Engineering with process development and tool identification. Train others on machines and processes within Value Stream. Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality and efficiency. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3years of machinist or tool‑maker experience in the trade. All applicants must be U.S. persons under ITAR regulations; U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee or Refugee. Position requires use of information or hardware subject to ITAR. No relocation benefit is offered; candidates must reside within 50miles of the work location (active‑Duty military service members are exempt). Eaton will not sponsor immigration or visa support for this position. Preferred Qualifications Experience or formal education in design/drafting with emphasis on CAD. CNC programming experience, specifically MasterCAM. 5+years of experience in the trade as a machinist or tool maker. Skills / Position Criteria Proficiency in trigonometry. Experience sharpening tools such as boring bars, drills on darex, tree pan tools. Ability to run most equipment in turning or milling operations. Proficiency using a personal computer.
